Knowledge of instruments and methods of experimental research in transport phenomena and process engineering

Course contents

Pressure drop and head-capacity curve of a centrifugal pump, flow characteristics of a control valve.

2. Ultrafiltration in a spiral wound module.

3. Gas-liquid mass transfer coefficient in a stirred tank.

4. Diffusion coefficient in liquids.

5. Diffusion coefficient in gas (diffusion in stagnant fluid)

Teaching methods

Groups of students (4 to 5) will perform the experiments with the assistance of a technician, then will draw up a report.

Assessment methods

Discussion of the reports.
